| £1 Mac Dupes! | MUA, Makeup Revolution & Primark |

Hey guys!
I spend around 30% of my shopping trip fawning over Mac products, Don't we all? But of course It is no where near affordable (in my case at least) to spend £15.50 on a lipstick.
£15.50 to me is a Takeaway for two at the Local Indian, or My phone bill for the month paid... soooo I instead took it apon myself to swatch my favourite shades from MAC's selection and to find some much cheaper alternatives!

One shade I seem to hear a lot about is Velvet Teddy! It's sold out virtually everywhere & all I see is selfies wearing it.. I found two perfect dupes of this Lipstick!

The first Dupe I found was this Lip Pencil from Primark!
It was the last nude one there and (naughty) I tried it on the back on my hand only to discover it was a perfect match!

Middle Swatch:
Bottom is Velvet Teddy, Top Swatch is the Primark Lip Pencil! Identical colours!

You'll be as excited as me to know that this Pencil is only £1! Totally awesome and affordable!

The Second Dupe I found for Velvet Teddy was this MUA Matte lipstick. As part of the Matte collection that I so already love, I couldn't turn down this Mauve almost Brown colour.

Swatched, It once again become identical to Velvet Teddy! Not only that but this winner was also £1!

Here it is on:
*excuse my dry lip situation...

After finding those, I went to see what I could find for 'Rebel' by MAC. I didn't get a picture of the Mac swatch I had because I'm a bumhole... buuuuut I did find an excellent and slightly obvious Dupe!

This is Makeup Revolutions 'Rebel With Cause' and is obviously a alternative thanks to it's name! It's a gorgeous Dark fuchsia purple & has a slight iridescence it it!

Just like the previous two, This lipstick is only £1! RIGHT ON.

Here it is on:

Okay, so that's all I could find this time round! Being as successful as I was I'm definitely going to look for a few others too!

What's your best MAC dupe?

Kylijane Review | The Posh One ❤ White Fluffy Bag |

Hello! Today i'm going to review a lovely bag sent to me by Kylijane on Instagram! I was really excited to see she was collaborating with bloggers because the bags are just fabulous!

I chose to review 'The Posh One' which is a plain white faux fur shoulder bag, that goes with literally anything and everything!
If you're not keen on white or Black, theres loads of other colours to choose from and even a rainbow one!
It's currently in the sale for £9.00 which is pretty decent if I say so myself, Most of the similar bags on the highstreet are on sale for upwards of £20 so to get a handmade & significantly cheaper alternative is always nicer!

I know it blends into my wall, WHAT CAN YA DO

My first impressions were *squeak* ITS SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE.
I mean look at that. So fluffeeehhh. It's really nice soft quality faux fur and although it does malt a little bit it doesn't seam cheap at all.

Opening the bag you get a glimpse of a lining which is excellent! Always good to know you've got a sturdy structure. It's well sewn and I even had a go at trying to forcefully rip it (Sorry Kyli) but it didn't budge! No chance of it ripping, Excellent!

It's metal popper is well attached and keeps the bag shut nicely, Although it would of been nice to of had maybe a Zip or a panel covering the opening, I fear for rummaging hands in my bag! Or perhaps a pocket with a zipper inside to hide your purse etc? Just a thought.
I wouldnt say take this bag clubbing you wont see your purse again whether it's pinched or you do an excellent dance move and fling your bag and it's contents about..

The chain is really well attached I had another go at putting heavy things in it and shaking it about to see if it came loose but it was staying put which is awesome as I usually carry like 2 bottles of water with me!
I love the silver hardware It's really nice next to the white I think if it was gold it wouldn't look as nice, maybe even tacky.

As I said before you can literally wear it with anything! FLUFFY GOODNESS!

I'm really happy with this bag and haven't taken my things out of it since it arrived the other day! 10/10 LOVE IT!

| Poundland - 'Makeup Gallery' | Quick Dry Nail Polish Review

Hello loves, Today I'm going to review some Nail Polishes that I'm really excited about!
Poundland, being the ever growing treasure trove it is has embarked on a new Beauty Range! The range, called 'Makeup Gallery' has a little bit of everything you would expect from a Drugstore stand but it all is available for £1.

For this review i've chosen some of the Nail Varnishes from the range to try out. I've heard people say that they're impressive so I was interested to see what they were offering.

There was a range of about 30 colours including Finishes & Glitter polishes but I chose these two colours:

Latte
A Grey Brown shade, similar to chocolate.

Pink Soda
A really sheer, Natural pink.

These two colours are the ones that got my attention at first, I've wanted to try a taupe color nail polish for some time but never found one and I find it difficult to get a nice shade of pink without it being too peachy.

MOCHA

Mocha took two coats to get full coverage. It glided on really nicely and didn't apply streaky at all. I loved the colour, It was a really nice natural shade quite stone like.
It dried really quickly & I'd also like to say my mind totally played tricks on me because whilst painting it on I could of sworn I could smell chocolate! HA!

I wore it for two days and It didn't chip until I started doing some fiddly sewing and even then it chipped in places you couldn't notice! result.

PINK SODA

Pink Soda is my favourite of the two by far! Finally I've found my favourite pink nail varnish and for only £1 I couldn't be happier.
Unlike the Mocha shade, this pink is slightly more translucent and takes around 3-4 layers to build up a nice coverage.
However, once all of the layers are applied and I added a gel top coat from essence @ Wilkinsons, My nails looked Salon worthy!

I literally love this colour so very much it's perfection!

Overall, I would say that Poundland have hit it out of the stadium with these polishes! I'll 100% be purchasing more for my collection and I'm going to buy some of the Makeup too to see if that's any good! 10/10 Poundland, Well done!

Gel Eyeliner | Save or Spend? | Rimmel & MUA

Hello, Today I'm bringing you a review that I've wanted to do for a very long time!

As a sassy lady myself my eye make-up routine is never complete without Winged Eyeliner. I've used them all, Kohl, Liquid, Felt Tip & now I embark on a journey back to Gel Eyeliner.

I've dabbled in Gel Eyeliners before, I purchased the Collection Lasting Colour Gel Eyeliner about 2 years ago now and I was thoroughly impressed.. for about 2 months.. then it dried up! *sigh*

I cast it to the bottom of my make-up box and finally threw it away a year later, vowing to not bother again! That is until I the Rimmel Scandal Eyes made bold cat eyes at me. Made bold cat eyes at me for months on end.

Countless Savers £5 and under deals would come and go and i'd say "not today.." until one day. I BOUGHT IT.

I thought that perhaps there could be a cheaper alternative, After all i'm an Affordable fashion & Beauty blogger. Whilst at the checkout paying for my Scandal Eyes I spotted an MUA Gel Eyeliner in the 'Damaged Goods' Bin. The brush was missing, The Liner itself.. UNTOUCHED! It was almost too perfect & for £1 I couldn't say no for a good review of them both!

SO HERE COMES THE REVIEW!

MUA

MUA GEL EYELINER
"UNDERGROUND"
£3.00

This Eyeliner is the Cheaper of the two, and is packed much differently.
To begin with the pot itself is reminiscent of the original Rimmel Scandal Eyes packaging, With the brush being a removable part of the pot.
The consistency of the eyeliner is smooth but dries quickly meaning you may have to work fast to avoid clumping during application.

Here's the Eyeliner on:

RIMMEL

Rimmel Scandal Eyes
"001 Black"
£6.99

Being the more expensive option, you'll be pleased to know that not only do you get a quite big pot, but you also get a full size Gel Eyeliner brush with it! Not one of those annoying diddy ones! WIN.
It's a better size for carrying in a small makeup bag too, In my opinion.
I was really impressed with the consistency of this one,It was really well pigmented and creamy and once applied & dried after a few moments DID. NOT. BUDGE.

Here it is on:

MAKING COMPARISONS

Applied side by side, You probably wouldn't tell I was wearing two different Gels. However photographed, you can see there's more pigment in the MUA Gel than Rimmel.
HOWEVER~
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Stayed on. All day. Through me rubbing my eyes and I mean RUBBING. I woke up the next day with it intact.
MUA's Gel Eyeliner sadly, didn't last as long at all. It took maybe an Hour and a Half before it had transferred onto my upper Lid and within Two hours it had partly smudged off. The sadness!

Applied side by side onto my hand, the Rimmel Gel wins the pigment test here. You can see it's visibly darker from just one swipe of product!

VERDICT

So.. what can I say? I love a bargain. The MUA is a nice alternative to some of the more expensive brands out there offering you quality for a more affordable price, however in this instance you really do get what you pay for and that's a nice pigmented eyeliner that lasts a few hours.
My winner today is the Rimmel Scandal Eyes. It stood the test of time so well that I was beginning to think I used sharpie to apply my eyeliner! For a eye rubber & chronic Nap taker, that's all I need from an eyeliner! I know i'm one to preach about getting a good bargain but this product is worth every single penny I paid for it! I've used it three times so far and i've barely scraped a 2mm hole in it!
To get yourself a real deal on Rimmel products, Keep a look out for the £5 and under offer in Wilkinsons & Savers! It's a good shout and you can pick up a cracking Gel Eyeliner for £4.99 saving you £1.99!

That's all I have to say on this review! I hope my opinions helped you in some way!

What do you think of these eyeliners? Have you tried them? Let me know in the comments!

MUA LUXE | Velvet Lip Lacquers | Tranquility Review |

So recently whilst on a shopping trip I wandered into the MUA section of Superdrug, I love their range of Value but QUALITY make up & it's always my go to  before hitting the expensive ranges.
I haven't been make-up shopping for a good few months though, so somehow I managed to miss the whole MUA Luxe range completely!

Whilst there I spotted the Velvet Lip Lacquers which were packaged really nicely & had a beautiful color selection. They resembled the Lime Crime Velvetines, Which retail at $20 US Dollars & are more Hyped, Personally I've read things about Lime Crime which have made me steer clear of them, So seeing MUA's Dupe of this product made me really excited!

Retailing at £3 a pop, They're such good Value for money! And as we all know MUA never fail with the quality of their Items, It's so well presented & the color is perfect!

I brought the color Tranquility (Available Here) and it's a dark Your lips but better color. It's got tones of mauve and pink but can also look quite brown. I love it because it's the perfect nude for me!

The staying power of this lip lacquer is excellent! Once applied and dry, trying to smudge it is impossible! I applied it at the beginning of my 4 Hour shift at work and it stayed on until I finished, however if you're in a place where you talk and smile a lot, it does crack and gunk up! But no complaint from me at all.

Here it is on, Color Tranquility.
(Minus my Medusa piercing, so upset!:( )

All in all I'm super impressed and shall be spoiling myself on payday with a few brighter ones! LOVE LOVE LOVE !!!!

Hope this post is helpful to anyone else umming over them! :)

So today I bring you a momentous Blog Post, for I have found a great Deal on these Real Techniques Make Up Brushes, bought to us by the ever famous Pixiwoo Sisters on YouTube!

I had seen You-Tubers and Bloggers alike rave about these fantastic brushes and I pined over them so much! I needed to get myself some, trouble was they set you back a fair bit retailing at the around the £15-£18 mark for each set.

I instantly set to the internet to compare prices from different websites, You know me.. I'm kinda Cheap! I blame it on my Pops' frugal-ness! It's doing me well though!

I stumbled along an online Chemist, Called Gordons Direct that happened to be selling the brushes for an astonishingly cheap price! Of course, me being me I had to check that this wasn't a scam and went down hundreds of reviews from the business and IT WAS LEGIT!

Much to my happiness I found the entire collection which you can view and purchase HERE !!

I chose to get the Core Collection & The Eyes enhanced Starter Set. Both of which have actually dropped more in Price since I ordered last Friday! P&P Is £3 and they take around 5 Days to arrive to London from Ireland.
