Makeup Revolution | Iconic 3 Palette Review

Hello Lovelies,
Today I thought i'd bring you a Makeup Review!
Today I'm reviewing a palette from a Brand i've wanted to try for a long time, Makeup Revolution.
Similar to M.U.A which is a huge favourite of mine, Most items are under £10 and many of which are around the £1.00-£3.00 mark. Excellent for when you're on a budget!

I decided to choose a palette to review as I've been wanting one for a while, I love having smoky & nude eyes. This palette is the Iconic 3, A dupe of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and a pretty good one too from swatches i've seen comparing the two!
What got me was the price tag, at only £4, You really can't argue with that!

Here's the palette swathed for you, this is from one swipe on my finger & straight to my arm. You'll have to forgive me with the lighter tones as I have very pale skin but at least you can see how they look on Porcelain skin tones!

Here's the lightest shade in just one swipe on my finger, As it didn't even show up on my ghost skin!

All of the shadows are really well pigmented, and are silky to the touch making them really gentle on the eyes when applying.

I especially love the metallic colours they apply so nicely on my outer corners without that cakey/chunky glitter feel.

Here's a Night look & a Day look I put together for a feel of how the pigments look.

ICONIC NIGHT

I love how the bold Grey-Brown colours look with my blue eyes, Nude palettes always bring out the blue so much more!
The colours in this palette in particular have a really nice grunge feel to them and the shadows are really blendable for a smoked out look.

ICONIC DAY

I love the Rose Gold shimmer colour and how it looks in my crease. I wear this look everyday, It was nice to swap my regular M.U.A Shimmer eyeshadow & my 17 Statuesque Eyeshadow for two in a Pallette, Having dupes of these colours in one place will be good for travelling without bringing loads of single eye shadows!

All in All I really loved this Palette and will 100% be purchasing more from Makeup Revolution in the near future!

Have you tried Makeup Revolution?

TREAT YO SELF!

False Eyelashes Review | 10 Pairs Daily Long Curly False Eyelashes

Hello!
I'm bringing you an eyelash review today! I used to wear really crazy false eyelashes all of the time last year but it slowly died out. I was thinking perhaps i'd go back to eyelashes to give myself a fuller lash line & went on a quest to find some lovely natural lashes!

I went to Amazon, my preferred place to purchase eyelashes & searched for some natural lashes and found this set of 10 for only 81p!

Once out of the box, The eyelashes are really light and fluttery & the strip they're attached to is actually clear, meaning they sit very discreetly in your lashline!
I used the Eylure Lashglue to affix these lashes & I'll highly recommend using it!
I added a few small sweeps of mascara and no one could tell I was wearing falsies! Excellent, Ill be wearing these from now on.

Here's the link to these lashes! Get some for yourself if you love the look of them as much as me!

What are your go to false lashes?
That's all for today!

Beauty Buys ❤ December '14 ❤

Hello! Just thought i'd share a few things I purchased yesterday whilst out Christmas shopping with Ricardo!

Westfields was busy & we managed to fill our arms with bags rather quickly, presents for days!

Here's three make-up products I picked up in Superdrug!

Sleek Face Contour Kit
£6.49
Superdrug

I've been eyeing up a contour kit for some while now! The Face Contour Kit, Available HERE is an affordable alternative to the Smashbox & Anastasia Beverley Hills Kits. Pricing up at £6.49 it's a fraction of the price too, Making it an affordable treat for everyone!

I got mine in the lightest shade, 'Light' and I will say the shade is perfect for my very place porcelain skin. It blends well into your makeup and the highlighter is AWESOME.

The compact also has a really nicely sized mirror meaning that it will definitely be a staple in any travel make-up bag I use!

Sleek by name, Sleek by nature.

Gorgeous Color Contour & Highlight.

Miss Sporty Fabulous Lash Mascara
£1.99
Superdrug

Miss Sporty is my go to brand when it comes to mascara. I'm not one to look for something that does XXL this and FULL PLUMP that I just want my eye lashes to be black! For £1.99, You can't really go wrong with the Fabulous Lash range from Miss Sporty, It does exactly what it says it does & I love it!
I picked up the curved edition to see if it does anything different like life my lashes etc, so we'll see!

Curved Brush Fablissimo!

MUA LUXE Velvet Lip Laquer in 'ATOMIC'
£3.00
Superdrug

Following my previous review of the 'Tranquility' shade of these lip lacquers I couldn't help but treat myself to another one! I've been fawning over the color Atomic, Swatching it every time I was in Superdrug and Yesterday I just bloody well bought it!
It's a beautiful color, A bright Coral-Red and it applies beautifully and sets to a perfect Matte!
My only sad thing with these matte lipsticks is they rub off around the inside of my lips so eating & drinking may not be advised! other that that they are 100% Kiss proof and I can smother Ricardo with kisses without being moaned at! YAY!

ATOMIC

Swatched on the hand.

Super Punchy & Bright!

P.s. NO BRACES! HOORAY!

That's all for now lovelies!
If you've tried the Velvet Lip Lacquers from MUA, Let me know what you thought?!

MUA LUXE | Velvet Lip Lacquers | Tranquility Review |

So recently whilst on a shopping trip I wandered into the MUA section of Superdrug, I love their range of Value but QUALITY make up & it's always my go to  before hitting the expensive ranges.
I haven't been make-up shopping for a good few months though, so somehow I managed to miss the whole MUA Luxe range completely!

Whilst there I spotted the Velvet Lip Lacquers which were packaged really nicely & had a beautiful color selection. They resembled the Lime Crime Velvetines, Which retail at $20 US Dollars & are more Hyped, Personally I've read things about Lime Crime which have made me steer clear of them, So seeing MUA's Dupe of this product made me really excited!

Retailing at £3 a pop, They're such good Value for money! And as we all know MUA never fail with the quality of their Items, It's so well presented & the color is perfect!

I brought the color Tranquility (Available Here) and it's a dark Your lips but better color. It's got tones of mauve and pink but can also look quite brown. I love it because it's the perfect nude for me!

The staying power of this lip lacquer is excellent! Once applied and dry, trying to smudge it is impossible! I applied it at the beginning of my 4 Hour shift at work and it stayed on until I finished, however if you're in a place where you talk and smile a lot, it does crack and gunk up! But no complaint from me at all.

Here it is on, Color Tranquility.
(Minus my Medusa piercing, so upset!:( )

All in all I'm super impressed and shall be spoiling myself on payday with a few brighter ones! LOVE LOVE LOVE !!!!

Hope this post is helpful to anyone else umming over them! :)

✿ The Importance of Nylon Hair-scarves ✿ 1950's Style ✿

When it comes to 1950's Style, There's only one way to wear it. Glamour Glamour Glamour.

One key part of the Glamorous look is to be somewhat, Casual and effortless. A option often taken by the modern Pin-up ladies, Glamour is portrayed through Immaculate make-up and hair kept just so by the greatest accessory of them all, The Hair Scarves!

From Poodle head curls to a basic Pony Tail with a twist, The Hair Scarf adds an innocent & Sweet edge to a hairstyle and puts a cherry on top of a Simple outfit!

Here's a few of my Favorite styles!

The Pony Tail Bow

An easy and quick style, Simply put your hair into a pony tail at the crown of your head and Tie a hair scarf around the base of the pony, Positioning the bow at the top of your head and the tails by the side.
For a little twist to this style, Roll your fringe at the front with a Suicide Roll or Bumper Bang!
Simple and very 1950's Varsity school girl!

The Bouffant Plait

A little harder to do, scoop the back half of the top of your hair into a Beehive leaving half down to be plaited, using the backcomb and roll technique create the beehive and cover with the front of your hair, sleeking down any flyaways with Hairspray and then brush through the ends of your hair and Plait.
Fold your hair scarf into a long rectangle with pointed ends and tie into a bow around your head, resting the flat side over where the plait begins.

Slightly hard to do, but very sweet!

Oh, Beehive!

A super Glamorous hairstyle, which has taken me a long time to get right is the Beehive! Just like before, Use the backcomb and roll method to get a bouffant and then sleek all of your front parting over the top and hairspray!
With the rest of the hair, either plait or french twist it into a bun at the nape of your neck and pin.
Finish off by tying a big bow!

Girl Next Door

Of course, If you're too lazy to do an extravagant style you could simply have a Half up Half down one like this!
Remember to flick the ends of your hair in with straighteners to give it some shape!
Simply backcomb the back section of your hair and clip it back, then tie yourself a big bow over your hair!

Nylon Scarves can be rare to find, prepare to rummage in many a Vintage boutique and Charity shop to find them!

Rokit nonormally have loads of Nylon hidden in their Scarf Racks! You can also find a selection of colors on the American Pin up Clothing website!

Keep your eyes peeled on Etsy and Ebay as there are often Job lots available & Amazon sell packs of Magician Scarves that are hugely similar to these and are in a selection of colors!

That's all the pearls I have to Impart on you for now!

Happy Scarf-ing
