❤ House of Harlow 1960 Arabella Bootie | A gift to myself ❤

Hey guys! I have a little post about a new pair of boots I got yesterday! I'm so excited to own them I can't even!

I've loved Nicole Richie for years and since watching her on the Simple Life I've really loved her fashion sense as she's gotten a bit older. When I heard that she had created her own brand,House of Harlow 1960 I just cried glitter, unfortunately all of it was out of my grasp in america..and out of my price range!

I was out with my sister doing a little bit of Christmas shopping, when we stumbled into TKMAXX. The place no one should ever go if they have other things to do that day! We were there for HOURS.
I had a browse around for presents and bits and bobs and didn't see anything exciting, until we hit the shoes. THE SHOES!!!

I scanned the shelves of shoes quite eagerly, £25 Vans, £18 TUK Creepers, £35 Brogues.. Meh.
Then this beam of light hit them. The most beautiful boots ever.
I felt like Monica Geller.

*hallelujah chorus plays*

Arabella High Heel Bootie
House of Harlow 1960

£24.99
TK MAXX

Originally
£148.05

They're absolutely fabulous and I never thought I could love an inanimate object so..

With a Suede outer, Wooden effect block heel and a leather insole, They're bang on the 1960's boot trend that's flying around ASOS and Topshop at the moment!

I just can't even! The price was insanely cheap! I'm not one to treat myself but my sister made the point of saying, 'If you don't buy them you'll regret it!' Which is true, I'm a guilt shopper haha! I always put the things I want back!

Anyway, that's all for now!!

My Christmas Wishlist ❤❤

Who's excited for Christmas? I am excited for the Xmas feeling, but not the actual day! I don't find it exciting at all anymore sadly, however...THE PRESENTSSSSS!!

The iPhone 5C in yellow would without a doubt be my first choice. yep. It's glorious and I LOVE IT!

Yankee Candle

EVERYTHING SALTED CARAMEL PLEASE. ALL OF IT. THANK YOU.

Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation
£25.00

I'm in need of a new foundation to suit my cooler skin in the winter months, I'm loving my MAC Studio Fix Fluid and it gives me great coverage but I'd love to try this one for a flawless look, If only I had £25 hanging around!

Acid Pink Patent 3 Eyelet Shoe
£64.99
Dr.Martens

Still got an obsession with pink Dr.Marten shoes, LOVE THEM! So cute!

Fjallraven Kanken Backpack
£65.00
ASOS

I totally love these backpacks! Although I have the complete inability to pronounce the name, I love that they have little carry straps as well as the generic backpack ones! So chic, so cute! Tres practical!

I'm also on the lookout for a Vintage bedspread! I have an all white bedroom, which although is very nice & allows the room to feel very light I need some color to jump out! I've been absolutely loving all floral patterns from the 60's & 70's and think a Trip to the Haberdashery down brick lane is in order to see if he has any throws for me!

That's all for tonight! Hope you've been writing your Xmas lists for santa! What did you ask for?

I'm so in love with my skirt! I found it in a charity shop for £1! Originally a size 16 but that's no problem as I took it in to a size 6, LOVE IT so much! It's so worth looking in charity shops sometimes! If you love anything about an item, whats a few pounds? Length can be shortened, Size taken in or out! It's honestly so much fun rifling through the rails to find something you'll love!!

That's all for now :)

| Buffy 'ANNE' Cosplay Progress |

Hello lovelies!

I thought I'd share with you a cosplay post, because I do cosplay, Last year I was Blondie from Sucker Punch at MCM London. I didn't attend this year, but I still make lots of costumes!

Blondie Cosplay

I've been sewing for ages, as my blog can tell you, but I really wanted to crack on with a few costumes for my own portfolio! I LOVE Buffy, I've watched the series over and over, I knew I had to make a costume for her!
Although Buffy is normally in Civvies and brandishing a wooden steak, I opted to make a more obvious costume.
In Season 3 Episode 1 'Anne', Buffy begins the season working incognito as a waitress in a Diner. I love the uniform, It's so typically Diner & really cute!

Little details that really got me are definitely the Pointed sleeves, & the double tipped collar! Not to mention the Gingham, love me a bit of gingham!

The costume itself is really simple, Just a long button down shirt dress, With darts to fit it to the body & Gingham trim along the bottom. So I just needed a dress pattern I could manipulate.

Here's my (terrible) Rendering of the costume, I'm defo going to re-draw it!

This was my basic plan, from this I worked out the different types of sizing and pattern shapes for the collar etc.

AND NOW, Progress pictures of the costume..

Before the collar went on, Naturally I left it to last, Collars are the bane of my life! I hate them!

Top stitched the crap out of this seam to stop the gingham from folding up.

The pointed sleeves, Kept pointy with the help of thin card, This costume can't go in the washer haha!

First try on, Ignore the bottom caught on my leggings, Not actually too bad!

Close up of the collar, Which still needs work on those tips!

Currently need buttons etc, but it's quite hard to get clear buttons!

Added up, minus buttons this costume has cost me about £7 which Is bounds cheaper than buying it, Bonus! Although It's obviously no where near finished I just thought i'd share how far I've got with it and i'm really happy with how it's looking.

Ciao :)
