1970's Influences Primark Haul | May '15 |

Hey loves!

A few bits from Primark for you all today! I've been eyeing up some SS15 Pieces that all have a really 1970's Vibe!

I don't often shop big at Primark anymore, I have the joy of being employed by them & It feels like handing your wages back! Which anyone in Fashion Retail can relate to, am I rigggghttttt?

Yesterday I felt like treating myself however because I had experienced the rarity of not only a non-busy Stratford Primark BUT I also found my size (6) in EVERYTHING. MA GAWD.

Shirred Crop Top
£3.90
Primark

This cute little thing is originally £5, for some reason It was extra cheap in Stratford so I couldn't say no!
There was one left in my size also, So I grabbed it haha.

This is such a cute piece for the summer & will literally go with EVERYTHING.

Sports Stripe Hotpants
£3
Primark

I love these! They're wicked 1970's and have an American vibe! You can just see Farrah Fawcett or Goldie Hawn wearing these!

Button Down Mini Skirt
£10
Primark

IM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS. Ever since It came in with the new season I'd Wayne Campbell it with the 'It will be mine,oh yes,It will be mine.'
And now it is! Also, weirdly this went through at £3? Did somebody mess up? haha (I won't tell if you don't!)

Foundation Stick
£2.00
Primark

I also got another one of these foundation sticks. Similar to the Kryolan TV Makeup sticks, They're banging for doing a bit of cream contour Drag queen style!
I already have the medium one for contour & now I have this one for highlighting! Also an excellent match for my pale skin too,It's so hard for me to find things that are actually pale!

That's all for today, What's your favourite Primark purchase most recently?

OOTD | The Vintage Flares |

Hey Lovelies!
I'm back this Monday with a very on Trend OOTD for you! Unless you've been hiding under a rock you may have noticed that SS15 is HIGHLY influenced by the 1970's!
I'm really loving this trend as it means I get to raid my mums wardrobe for all of her vintage accessories!

I thought i'd focus on some Denim Flares today, they're everywhere from the catwalk to celebrities & I managed to bag myself this pair for only £1.50!
Yet another cracking charity shop find you'll agree, They were a Size 16 but using my whizzy seamstress skills they were a Size 6 in ten minutes!
Don't be dismayed to leave something behind because it's not your size, alterations can easily be made!

Paired with my flares, I put on my Striped top from H&M. I love this top it's a staple, I love anything with stripes on!

I've also Popped on some black platforms from Primark too, for a bit of height as I'm a mini person!

I'm wearing my Mum's Vintage Faux Snakeskin belt from Biba. (Swoooooooon)

I love this belt i've been nicking it since I was 13 haha!

My wide-brimmed Trilby hat is from Topshop! I'm lucky that my Sister let me have this one.. It's wonderful and I would never of been able to afford it! Anyone else love Topshop but won't buy anything unless it's in the sale? haha!

Hat closeup! Also new Fringe-ness! I love it, I've had two people tell me I look like Suki Waterhouse! SUCH COMPLIMENT.

That's all for today! What bargains have you picked up from Charity Shopping that's on trend this season?

OOTD | Sundaze |

Hey guys! This weeks OOTD is coming on a Tuesday, Apologies! Ricardo took me to London yesterday and it was a lovely surprise day out!

Today It was really sunny outside so I decided to style a few Charity shop bargains I've purchased recently In a 1969/1970 Style OOTD.

I've really been getting into my Charity shopping recently with it being a new Season for Fashion Trends and all. Even my dad comes along with me now when he sees all of the bargains I'm bringing home!

I picked up this gorgeous lace shirt from St.Francis' Hospice for only £2.50 and it's so lovely! I'm wearing it unbuttoned here but buttoned up it makes a fabulous tunic style shirt, the lace is daisy shaped and very 1960s!

My Straw bag was only £1 from Sue Ryder, I found it in a big pile of bags and I have the biggest weakness for Straw bags I couldn't leave it behind.

Ok. Let's talk about my Suede Skirt.
I actually made it! As you may or may not know I LOVE to sew and I've been testing a few patterns out for this seasons styles. I tried out a mini skirt in this Faux Suede material and ITS AWESOME.

I teamed it with this thick Black Belt from Primark, a Hand me down from my sister! I love the thick cut look it gives and It's a very 70's thing. If you're ever in doubt about the new 1970's fashion trends, Remember - Flares. Suede. Belts. Tassels.

I'll be making some Suede Skirts as well as other Fabulous Vintage Style bits to sell for release in May so watch this space & Follow me on instagram for updates!

My sunglasses are from Forever 21, I purchased them when I used to work there and they cost me about £6 which is the most I've ever paid for sunglasses! THE HORROR. But I love them they're very Nicole Richie - esque.

I threw on a Black crop top from H&M (£1.99) and Black Tights and Pumps from Primark (£2.99 & £4.00).

I thought I'd include my eye make-up as it matched my Outfit haha! I had Collection's Felt Tip Black Eyeliner and a Collection Copper Glitter Eyeliner in the inner corners, TRES CHIC.

I plaited the sides of my hair and brought them together at the back, Curling the ends of my hair and pinning it.

You get a nice close up of the Lace Shirt here and it's JUST LOVELY.

That's all for today, I'd like to thank you for coping with my poor quality photos and I'm so excited to say I'll be buying a Brand new proper camera come payday! All of my Blog Posts will be HD-ified. YAY.

Whats the best charity shop purchase you've made recently! I'd really love to know so don't be shy in tweeting/commenting to tell me!

❤❤ Valentines Day OOTD | D.I.Y Vintage Two Piece ❤❤

Hey lovelies!

Today I'm bringing you an OOTD on a Thursday..(cheeky).
To celebrate the Valentine's festivities this year I thought i'd make something sweet to wear, & inspiration struck when I found a Maxi dress I'd purchased last year from Rokit!

I purchased it for just £7 from the Starship section in Rokit Camden & you can see it in action HERE in a Youtube OOTD.

I was thinking of what to create when I got the idea for a cute 2 piece outfit, There certainly was enough fabric for me to have a try!

My initial idea made use of the frilly bottom, included sleeves and a pointed collar however I opted to make it sleeveless and chose to try a Peter Pan collar.

I started by chopping it in half to the length I wanted the skirt & just elasticated the waistband!
I used the rest of the material to make a shirt, customizing the pattern to make it smaller to use less fabric.

Here's my finished Skirt & Shirt before I made the collar & hemmed the edges.

Once I added the collar, Buttons and Hems it was finished!

I'd like to say, I have never sewn a peter pan collar before, and I'm 100% aware of how wonky it is! I'm super proud of it though it has character, it takes practice!

Here's my completed outfit with accessories!

Wonky Collar Action haha!

I had a lot of fun making this little number! It certainly gives my Maxi a new lease of life! I hope it inspires you to take something you don't wear much & turn it into something super adorable!

What's the best thing you've customized?

Happy Valentines Day!

| 1970's Fashion Influences | January 2015

Hey there!
This year there is going to be a LOT of 1970's influences in fashion, whether it's Flares, Chiffon Blouses or HUGE Platforms, ITS COMING and we should probably embrace it!
Here's my first few pics from a few brands that speak the era to me, for a city chic office look!

Chiffon Pussy Bow Blouse
£36.00
Topshop

Tie this in a HUGE bow, tuck slightly into your Trousers or skirt & STRUT.

Wide Leg Trousers
£45.00
Miss Selfridge

These mean business in the best way possible! Bowie does 1920's business man. Androgyny is ALWAYS in.

Orange Chunky Sandal
£12.00
Primark

Flared trousers need beautiful platform shoes so strap on these cuties for a colour clash between the bright and burnt oranges and paint your toes a blue or yellow colour for even more clash!
It's always been ok to clash, Just no Navy & Black ladies!

-OR-

If you're not one for androgyny...

Chiffon Pussy Bow Blouse

(As Before)

Corduroy Dungaree Dress
£48.00
The White Pepper

Corduroy was so 1970. Ask my dad, He made questionable fashion choices involving double corduroy...
BUT this kind of Cord is super cute!

Paw Print Platforms
£29.00
ASOS

Just because we ditched the strappy platform doesn't mean it isn't replaced with a younger model. These are for girls like me who can't walk in heels and with a closed toe you can wear tights with them! WINNING!

So, that's just a few pieces i've really loved and I know they're all stupidly expensive (grrr) but you can take inspo from the outfits like me and shop the style with a smaller budget!

That's all for now!

❤ House of Harlow 1960 Arabella Bootie | A gift to myself ❤

Hey guys! I have a little post about a new pair of boots I got yesterday! I'm so excited to own them I can't even!

I've loved Nicole Richie for years and since watching her on the Simple Life I've really loved her fashion sense as she's gotten a bit older. When I heard that she had created her own brand,House of Harlow 1960 I just cried glitter, unfortunately all of it was out of my grasp in america..and out of my price range!

I was out with my sister doing a little bit of Christmas shopping, when we stumbled into TKMAXX. The place no one should ever go if they have other things to do that day! We were there for HOURS.
I had a browse around for presents and bits and bobs and didn't see anything exciting, until we hit the shoes. THE SHOES!!!

I scanned the shelves of shoes quite eagerly, £25 Vans, £18 TUK Creepers, £35 Brogues.. Meh.
Then this beam of light hit them. The most beautiful boots ever.
I felt like Monica Geller.

*hallelujah chorus plays*

Arabella High Heel Bootie
House of Harlow 1960

£24.99
TK MAXX

Originally
£148.05
($235.USD)

They're absolutely fabulous and I never thought I could love an inanimate object so..

With a Suede outer, Wooden effect block heel and a leather insole, They're bang on the 1960's boot trend that's flying around ASOS and Topshop at the moment!

I just can't even! The price was insanely cheap! I'm not one to treat myself but my sister made the point of saying, 'If you don't buy them you'll regret it!' Which is true, I'm a guilt shopper haha! I always put the things I want back!

Anyway, that's all for now!!

My Christmas Wishlist ❤❤

Who's excited for Christmas? I am excited for the Xmas feeling, but not the actual day! I don't find it exciting at all anymore sadly, however...THE PRESENTSSSSS!!

The iPhone 5C in yellow would without a doubt be my first choice. yep. It's glorious and I LOVE IT!

Salted Caramel Scented Candle
£16.49
Yankee Candle

EVERYTHING SALTED CARAMEL PLEASE. ALL OF IT. THANK YOU.

Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation
£25.00

I'm in need of a new foundation to suit my cooler skin in the winter months, I'm loving my MAC Studio Fix Fluid and it gives me great coverage but I'd love to try this one for a flawless look, If only I had £25 hanging around!

Acid Pink Patent 3 Eyelet Shoe
£64.99
Dr.Martens

Still got an obsession with pink Dr.Marten shoes, LOVE THEM! So cute!

Fjallraven Kanken Backpack
£65.00
ASOS

I totally love these backpacks! Although I have the complete inability to pronounce the name, I love that they have little carry straps as well as the generic backpack ones! So chic, so cute! Tres practical!

I'm also on the lookout for a Vintage bedspread! I have an all white bedroom, which although is very nice & allows the room to feel very light I need some color to jump out! I've been absolutely loving all floral patterns from the 60's & 70's and think a Trip to the Haberdashery down brick lane is in order to see if he has any throws for me!

That's all for tonight! Hope you've been writing your Xmas lists for santa! What did you ask for?
